Assignment

My animation is based on one of the Star Wars film scene. I selected the 5th episode (the Empire Strikes Back) of Star Was film. The scene is when the Empire army attack to rebellion base with AT-AT Walker. My three 3D models are based on this scene. I selected AT-AT Walker, Rebel SnowSpeeder and DF.9 Anti-Infantry for modeling. They are going to fight in my animation based on the scene.

AT-AT Walker

AT-AT Walker was the hardest Modeling for my animation. It took most of the time of my design.
I used Blueprint on planes in 3Ds MAX to design that model.

I stared with foot of the model. I used cylinders, boxes and a tube and convert them to editable poly for editing. Also I used chamfer and extrude to make details.

I continued the designing the leg using boxes, cylinders and tubes. Also I coveted tem to the editable poly for editing.

I finished the leg with the same techniques.

For designing the body I used a box and edit the edges after I converted the box to the editable ploy. Also I used extrude to make body more look like the blueprint.

I used the same technique to design the head. For adding details in head and body I used cute tools and after that I used extrude and bevel on the cut poly.

Adding more details.

For designing the neck also I used a box and then scale the edges.

Designing the back was a bit hard because I didn’t have any picture of the back side of the model. So I design some part of it by myself without any reference.
I used the same techniques for designing the back side.

For designing the guns also followed the same techniques but I used a bend tool for a part of the gun.

Finally I managed to finish the model with adding some more details in the body and under the body.  For the other leg I just copy the leg I designed

I used some textures and V-Ray material to make my model more realistic.

Final render by using V-Ray light.

SnowwSpeeder

Designing SnowSpeeder was more confusing than the other models because I find deferent pictures of it. In each picture design was deferent. And I could find only on useful blueprint.

I used the same techniques as the AT-AT Walker for making scene ready for design. But in the SnowSpeeder blueprint the scale for top view and front view was deferent so adjust it by myself.

I used a plane for starting to design the model. After that I extruded each part to get the basic shape.

I continued using a plane and finale I made the body and connect the upper side to the down side.

I finished the basic of body using cut tool and extrude them.

I used cylinders and convert them to the editable poly and then edit the edges and the polygons for adding details. I design the gun in the new project and export it to my project but 3Ds MAX was changed all of the part to Editable Mesh.

For the back side grill I designed one of them then I copy it. Also I used symmetry for copy the gun. For the flaps I used same technique as designing the body.

For designing the HarpoonGun also the same thing as the guns happened. When I import it all the part converted to the editable mesh. But I converted again to the editable poly for some changes.

I sued some textures in V-Ray material to get the final result.

DF.9 Anti-Infantry

Designing the DF.9 Anti-Infantry was not very hard but designs it with more details. The hardest part of designing this model was the blueprint. I had to design it without any blueprint. I could find any blueprint for this model.

I used a cylinder to design the body.

For designing the head part also I use a cylinder and then I added the detail with connecting the edges and extrude them.

I designed the gun using cylinders and tubs and then convert them to editable poly and edit them.

For material I used a texture for the body and a texture of knobs. Also I used V-Ray and V-ray light for this model.

Audi TT

Creating Audi TT (2008)

I followed difrent tutorials to create this car and here the links. (some of my designs are not exactly as same as tutorials)

Body

putting blueprint images on planes for amking the scene for creating the body.

Creating car body by adding more polygons and matching vertexes with the images.

Finishing the hood.

finishing basic of front and side parts.

Creating the rear of the car

Attaching rear to front.

Trying to adjust vertexes carefully using the reflation of lights.

Creating windshield.

Finishing basic of body.

trying TurboSmooth tool and a light to test the reflections.( and Moving the vertexes in Editable Poly)

Some vertexes still need to adjust. (using TurboSmooth with level 4 Iterations to see the problems more clear)

Creating head light glass and box using extrude and copy.

Creating other parts of front.

Creating the grill.

Creating the lights.

Detaching the parts.(Widows, Door,Hood,...)

Creating the bumpers of car.

Finishing under the car parts.

Creating door handle.

Creating the mirror.

Finishing the mirror and add TurbSmooth.

Creating the taillight.

Almost done.

Using Symmetry to create the other side of the car.

Connecting the two side.(some part need more adjustment or rebuilt.)

Doing some adjustment on the vertexes, mirror again, connect two side and do more adjustment on vertexes again to get the expected result.

Finishing the car body.
